We utilize E. multilocularis, one of the most important human helminthic pathogens, as the experimental model to investigate the roles of host factor-mediated signaling pathways in parasite’s growth and development. We are particularly interested in the contributions of host factors to the self-renewal, pluripotency maintenance and cell specification of E. multilocularis somatic stem cells.
